QDMA Honors Bass Pro Shops
Bogart, Ga. – The Quality Deer Management Association has honored Bass Pro Shops with its 2007 Corporate Achievement Award. QDMA recognized Bass Pro during its 2007 Awards Breakfast, which was part of the 2007 QDMA National Convention and Whitetail Expo, in Chattanooga, Tenn.
“From the very beginning, it was obvious to all of us at QDMA that everyone at Bass Pro Shops recognized, believed in and bought into our mission,” said Executive Director Brian Murphy. “As a result, they have elevated the QDMA and helped us become one of the most well-known and recognized conservation organizations in the country.
“Bass Pro Founder John L. Morris and everyone associated with the company have embraced virtually every element of the QDMA REACH program, for example. They are supporting the ‘Living With White-Tailed Deer’ project, the exciting Cyber Deer software package, and our newly revised series of educational posters.
“There are always basic expectations in any business relationship,” Murphy added. “But everyone at Bass Pro Shops has, at every opportunity, gone above and beyond to help us promote QDMA’s mission of better deer and better deer hunting. Our members have no better corporate friend than Bass Pro, and we are excited to recognize them with the 2007 Corporate Achievement Award.”
