Since its premier in January 2007, QWTV has been one of the hottest new series in outdoor television. Season 1 features many of the nation’s most well-known and respected wildlife biologists, foresters and habitat experts going through winter and spring in the deer woods.
Presented in high-definition and commercial-free on DVD, these 13 episodes follow whitetails from January through June, and they provide viewers with a month-by-month look at deer biology and management. Several exciting hunts from around the country also are features in Season 1, including visits to Texas’ famed King Ranch.
Co-hosting Season 1 are QDMA Executive Director Brian Murphy, and Directors of Education and Outreach Kip Adams (northern U.S.) and Joe Hamilton (southern U.S.). They have a combined 75+ years of experience in research, management and hunting. They’re joined by the greatest lineup of whitetail experts ever assembled for an outdoor television series, including Dr. Karl Miller, Dr. Mickey Hellickson, Dave Edwards, Bobby Watkins, Neil Dougherty, Scott Edwards and others.
Season 2 of QWTV currently airs weekly on the Men’s Outdoors & Recreation Channel (Direct TV Channel 604) at 6:30 p.m., Eastern Time, on Saturday, and 1:30 p.m., Eastern Time, on Sunday. The show also airs on SportSouth (Direct TV Channel 631, Dish Network Channel 437, and on local cable in the southeast) at 8 a.m., Eastern Time on Saturday, and 1:30 p.m., Eastern Time, on Friday. Season 2 follows whitetails from July through December, and will be available on DVD later this year.
