Become a “Master Wildlifer” Through South Carolina Education Course

Bogart, Ga. Brian Murphy, wildlife biologist and executive director of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA), will be one of four instructors for this year’s Master Wildlifer II course, a satellite course offered by Clemson University in South Carolina to teach forest and land management techniques that benefit wildlife. Each of four workshop sessions is beamed live via satellite to 18 locations around South Carolina, and participants can interact live with the speaker by phoning in questions.

The four workshop sessions are held each Tuesday beginning February 19 through March 11. Sessions run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Course topics include management of bobwhite quail (February 19), white-tailed deer (taught by Brian Murphy on February 26), wild turkey (March 4) and management of native and planted wildlife foods (March 11).

Registration for the full course is $100 if you register before February 5. For more information or to register for the course, visit www.masterwildlifer.net or call (864) 656-0606.
